- A college kid jogged into the side of my car in Oakland the other day. He looked BAFFLED.
- Hockey Season is almost here again. I'm excited for the roadtrips to ensue.
- I started my stanley cup scrap book while listening to the first preseason game today.

Summer is over. It came and went with many, many wonderful things attached to it. However I've managed to start Fall off pretty well so far.

Monday night Scott got into town and quickly bailed on his parents to get dinner with me and Steph. We drove out to The Robinson Primanti's for sandwiches and then drove through Sewickley so he and Steph could finally see Lemieux's house. We drove around town for a bit before heading back into the city, where we decided to just wander around aimlessly til we ended up in the Southside. We parked down at station square and took the incline up to mount washington and met some awesome kid named Jordan. Once we got back to station square I played in the fountain outside of Hard Rock for a little while before Scott had to head back to his hotel.

Tuesday I worked and then met Bri and her roommate Meredith at sheetz. We ran into everyone ever and stayed there til about midnight just talking.

This morning I woke up to a missed call from Scott. I called him and headed down to Oakland for lunch. I saw Kristin and Steve B at the bus stop and offered them a ride home but they decided to just take the bus. After a little bit of searching I found Scott and he showed me his dorm and I met some of his floormates before he headed off to a meeting. I visited my sister on the way home and then met Kristin for some Arbys.

Tomorrow is the Museum. DINOSAURS!

I havent updated this is a really long time..

- We've decided Petr Sykora loves us. He always tries to do awesome things everytime we're around, and he always fails misrebly. [Knocking over an entire stack of sticks, dropping water bottles...]
- I told Craig Adams that he used to be my favorite Blackhawk. He was REALLY excited, and got all smiley and waved at me. We're pretty much best friends now.
- As the wings were getting on their bus after one of the games, some girl yelled at Darren Helm. I am not alone in my infatuation with him.
- WE WON THE STANLEY CUP!!!!!!!
- We partied downtown after the cup win.
- Casey, Meghan and I drove down to the arena the sunday after the cup win so they could get shirts. As we were getting there, the boys were all cleaning out their lockers and being ridiculous.
- Harold Gill stuck his head out of mark eatons sunroof and called billy g from the other side of the parking lot asking him to take a picture. It was really entertaining.
- Godard tried to steal eaton's car.
- Geno had like 17 bags of stuff to carry, but he parked his car on the far side of the parking lot. He also has "Malkin 71" flags on his rover. Winner.
- There was a big black chevy avalanche sitting in the parking lot, and no one could figure out who it belonged to. Then we saw Troy Crosby walk out. Then, we heard cheering, and Sid came walking out. He looked around for a second, and then HELD UP THE CUP and turned it so everyone on the wall could see it. Everyone clapped and cheered, it was amazing. That thing is SO shiny!
- Crosby proceeded to try and and shove the cup into the car that it didnt really fit into. He was determined.
- We found out they were taking the cup to baseball game, so we decided to go too. However, we got stuck in gay pride parade traffic and couldnt make it there in time. I was late for work but after explaining why, my manager said she wouldve understood if i didnt come in at all.
- I convinced everyone to skip school and work so we could all go to the parade. It was fun, but it was unreasonably hot out.
- Free Agency ruined the blackhawks for me. Freaking Hossa.
- However, Craig Adams is staying [because i told him hes my favorite, i decided] as is Billy G.
- Katie and I bought a small fortune of scrap booking supplies for hockey scrap books. When I got home, my basement was flooding and i had to fish clothes out of the water with a hockey stick.
- Katie and I also took it upon ourselves to drive to McMurray to meet Kris Letang and get the championship dvds signed. He was really nice and had rock star hair and smelled good. He also had a possee waiting for him outside of the bathroom.
- We missed our exit on the way home and found the mall at robinson.
- I was supposed to be on vacation this week, but opted out to meet Tanger, hang out with Casey and go to Kennywood.
- Gideon, My favorite goalie EVER comes back home next week!!! So I finally get to see him for the first time in like a year and a half.

- We went to the Science Center on Monday. They had ice-es and dinosaurs. I got to hug a meteorite.

- After the science center we went to Pantera Bread for lunch and hit up dozen for “magical” cupcakes.

- Hung out at the big screen for the game Monday night. Me and Katie ran to the Mariott to pee and some dude in a Lemieux jersey was playing piano in the hallway upstairs.

- Casey failed at ordering pizza.

- Every time I broke out the cupcake I bought to eat we scored a goal and I was instructed to not eat it.

- We sat outside after the game waiting for traffic to leave and made friends with Scuds’ ADORABLE son.

- I am now torn on whose parents I think are the coolest: Geno’s or Max’s.

- Some kid yelled something absurd at Billy G and he looked like he was going to beat him. Billy Guerin is the man. I can’t stress this enough.

- We decided Tanger doesn’t really know where he lives and just has to follow Flower.

- Tuesday we went to southpointe for open practice. Petr Sykora was being ridiculous.
- I accidently hit Eric Godard's truck with a car door. And then the security guy yelled at us.
- J. Staal did two small circles around center ice and wandered back to the locker room. Dude was hung over. Silly Staal Brothers.
- Tanger, Max and Geno did nothing. Except poke their heads out of doors and look around all confused. And Make fun of people.

- I GOT TO SEE BEN LOVEJOY!!!

- The canes practice ended up being closed and it made me super sad because I wanted to see Chad and E. Staal and Camasaurus.

- Meghan asked Gogo for a picture and confused the poor kid.

- Max Talbot was driving recklessly through the parking lot in his convertible with Sid and almost took out half the crowd of people. Sid realized half way through the parking lot the he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.

- I slept in the grass behind Southpointe and we waited for the canes to come out. When they finally did, they went straight to the bus. It was sad.

- We turned the car around and the bus had DISAPPEARED. We decided Katie’s BFF Rod Brind’amour is a wizard.

- Had lunch at primanti’s and then headed to Sewickley for the usual adventure.

- We were driving up backbone rd and this car comes whipping around the corner in the middle of the road. We all look up in time to see it’s Tyler Kennedy. Texting. And trying to kill us.

- Actually managed to get Katie home in time for work, hit up Dick’s Sporting goods, hung out in hockey gear and bought a Guerin tshirt.

- Thursday night Mallory decided she’d close for me so I could go watch the game. And then informed me Jordan Staal is hot and she will marry him. Good Lord.

- Last night we all saw a giant cookie tray fly off of a six and a half foot high shelf five feet across a the room and almost hit Chelsea in the head. Hoss’s Ghosts. I knew we had them but I’ve never seen them do anything like that before. Especially weird, because two minutes before that I walked in the cooler and thought I saw a shadow of someone standing there. Scary.

- If I die this week, Blame Hockey Players Driving, or the Hoss’s Ghost.

Meghan and I got free tickets to game 4 on Friday. We won. It was awesome.

Patrick Kane got his first hat trick ever. In the same game the Hawks defeated the Canucks and moved on to the western conference finals.

Patrick Kane also gave some random phone interview on VS and went on about how the game was like getting the first job after graduation. The guy on VS pretended that it made sense, but no. It made sense in no way whatsoever.

Ryan Getzlaf punched Hossa in the face.

After much nervousness and anticipation, the Pittsburgh Penguins totally DESTROYED the Washington Capitals.

Pretty much the greatest week of hockey ever thus far.

Now if only the Ducks can beat the Wings tomorrow…

I have to text Scott the score of the pens game tomorrow because he has to go see a play. I'm so proud of him for being a pens fan from east PA. I taught him well.
Fridays Pens game was insane. My aunt went. Next time I see her i need to ask if she stayed for the ending. If not, i may cry.
The hawks game tonight was ridiculous.

Playoff hockey makes me happy.
Stealing things at wedding receptions also makes me happy.
My sister and I drove around downtown all night. It was super pretty out. I love pittsburgh.

It upsets me greatly that i haven't gotten to post anything i've wanted to about the playoffs thus far. work has been severely interferring with the things i actually want to do. it's one thing when i have to tape games, but PLAYOFF GAMES?! unacceptable. it's just not the same.

SO. Round one predictions, several days late. Even though pretty much any one who reads this has already seen my bracket.
East.
Boston vs Montreal - As much as I love Carey Price and Mike Komisarek, I love Tim Thomas even more, and he is a beast of a goalie. Boston.
Washington vs NY Rangers - I've gotten made fun of for being a rangers fan since i was 12 years old, so i have no problem openly admitting it now. Theodore is shaky, ovechkin is a douche, and mike green can't be expected to do EVERYTHING. Rangers.
New Jersey vs Carolina - When I made my bracket, I had the canes winning. But I was skeptical. I knew Jersey could win it if they actually PLAYED. If the Devils win game two, theyll take the series. Otherwise, Canes.
Pittsburgh vs Phili - the flyers are dirty goons. theyre stupid with plays and take stupid penalties. Plus, Carcillo is out tomorrow. Penguins.

West.
San Jose vs Anaheim - I called a duck upset from day one and everyone mocked me. They're a solid, young, gritty team. The sharks have a tendency to choke. Hiller has been killing it lately. Ducks.
Detroit vs Columbus - I hate saying it, but I think the experiance will win in this one. Wings.
Vancouver vs St Louis - Although the blues have had an amazing turn around season, I think this is the furthest they'll make it. I'm excited to see the fights that break out in this series. Canucks.
Chicago vs Calgary - Calgary didnt win a single game against Chicago during the regular season. Calgary's got the size and force, but I think the skill of chicago will come out on top. Hawks.

I shouldn't have wait until today to file my local taxes. Now I have to drive to the library when all I wanna do is watch the playoff preview on the nhl network. On top of that, i should've called off work.

On the ducks site, there’s a video of them interviewing Getzlaf, Wisniewski and Bobby Ryan about playoffs. Bobby ryan’s got aviators tucked into his collar. I love that team.

Apparently Chris Kunitz's wife is in labor. Way to go on timing. Hockey players should learn not to have babies due near or during playoffs. Plan better next time.
If Petr Sykora is hurt, i will fight someone.

Andddd... The fire alarm went off at mellon this morning... It hasnt done that all season, and they couldnt figure out why.

I like holidays when i don't have to go to work.
I also like when they play hockey games i actually care about and i get to watch them.

But most of all, I like when the Blackhawks SHUT OUT THE RED WINGS.
I like when anyone shuts them out, really. But this made me especially happy.
There's a picture on the hawks site of P. Kane and mike modano. P Kane looks a little like Peter Pan, and also 8 years old. It's kind of amusing.

i hope our first playoff game is wednesday, just because ill actually get to be home to watch it.

i think i should probably do my taxes.

im going to get some baby peeps tomorrow!!! and quite possibly a few ducklings!!!

Mike made a stanley cup prediction last night but I'll just leave it at that so as not to jinx anyone. (i think he's jumping the gun a little bit.)

I decided the other night to buy a giant sidney crosby cardboard cut out and start hiding him around my house in closets and stuff to scare my family. I've been looking for somewhere to buy one but all i keep finding are wall graphics. Who would want a giant life size Joe Sakic on their wall????

I also decided to randomly wash the sheets on my bed. We'll see how that ends. Hopefully the washer doesn't break and my batman sheets don't get ruined.

I think I might go see adventureland tonight.

I spent half my paycheck on a credit card bill and half on a ticket to the game last night.
Some crazy black man with no teeth was dancing in front of my car on Center when we were stopped at the red light.
There were crazy drunken yinzers behind us talking about Geno making pierogies and it kind of made my day. That and Billy Guerin fighting someone. I also finally got to see Craig Adams play, and although it meant Godard not playing, it was still super exciting for me.

I keep thinking and saying that I should clean my room. However, I'm really lazy and it's REALLY nice out, so i dont think it's getting done.

There's a hockey stick upstairs calling my name.
Everyone should drop out of school and come play shinny with me.
